In July 2004, Melisa Arroyo, was diagnosed with AML; Acute Myelegeneous Leukemia, at an advanced stage and began the process of chemotheraphy immediately. During this battle with blood cancer, she experienced the love of God in a way she had never experienced before. Healed by His Love: A True Story of Healing, describes her journey through the valley of sickness, brokenness, healing, and finally, redemption.
Melisa's life is a testimony of how God can turn the uncertainty and pain of a life-threatening illness into a story of healing, hope, and victory. Her life message is "Choose Life" and she has an intense passion for God and His Kingdom. Her prayer is that everyone who reads this book will be encouraged to test the love of God in a greater way and believe in the God Who still performs miracles today.
Melisa has been married for 40 years. She has two children who are both married and has ten grandchildren. Melisa has a B.A. in Business Finance from the University of South Florida and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty University.
Her greatest joy is spending time with their family and encouraging others to get to know Jesus, Our Lord and Savior and living a life of freedom.
